Our Process For IPE Wood Restoration
We’ve been using the same process when it comes to restoring IPE wood for years and our customers are always astonished by the difference, don’t take our word for it see the pictures below for yourself.
Our method starts with soft washing the deck using all environmentally friendly wood cleaner then we use low pressure at 800 PSI (the recommended pressure for all types of wood) to ensure no splinters.
After that we perform a two-part cleaning process:
Part A
Washing all the dirt, dust, airborne, pollen and algae.
Part B
Spraying on all environmentally friendly wood brightener.
Our wood brightener application is an essential step in the restoration of your wooden surfaces. Why? It does 3 essential things for your wood. It neutralizes any remaining soaps from the washing (Part A), restores and brightens wood to its natural bare state, and opens the pores of the wood to make it ready for staining.
After the washing is done, we let the wood dry completely and we come back to stain it in a different day, we stain the wood with IPE Oil Stain by Deckwise.
